I don't really have any favorite quotes this week, but if I must, here are a few:
"Dad once took blood samples of me and Truman and took them to his lab."
"'That's you,' he said to us, taping the gels on our kitchen window."
These are interesting lines. 1) What dad would take a blood sample from his children 2) This has to be a weird family if they are pasting DNA gels on a window instead of artwork done by the kids and 3) I think that it's cool for a book to have the main character, a grown teenage girl, want a lullaby - not for herself but to sing to someone else.
